AFCAAM provides education, youth mentoring groups, GED preparation, tutoring, computers, afterschool reading program, thrift store, and food donations.AFCAAM recruits K-5 students from the Dunbar and Harlem Heights communities who would benefit from additional reading and mentoring services. S.K.I.L.L.S (Success thru Knowledge and Innovative Lifelong Learning Skills) is a mentoring program dedicated to embracing and empowering youth with the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to make good life choices. The Straight Talk Male Mentoring program is designed to increase academic performance, self-esteem and emotional development, while developing integrity and positive values that will help them throughout life. Boy Scouts of America provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness, while dedicating themselves to community outreach.
